CHR transmission issues

Like many of you here I have issues too! Bought a 2018 ChR in May 2017 (my 4th Toyota to purchase, our family has bought 10+). At 45K miles had to get transmission replaced, still under warranty thank goodness! (August 2020).
I’m currently at 97K miles… and guess what!?! Need another transmission! I have called to get a case started, no response as of yet. So disappointing coming from a true Toyota family.

Well that’s good to know! LOL
I’m in Central MS. Drive 70 miles per day for work, mostly interstate or 4 lane highway. Use the cruise control a lot! Usually drive in turbo mode. Bought it new in 2017, maintenance every 5K miles, when the light came on, or when something seemed off.
I drive fast, but never over 90; although it goes up to 140?!? 😮
Too old to do that, and definitely not racing! Have talked to Toyota but no resolution as of yet.

Standard called out maintenance does not cover transmission fluid changes. That's a separate service you have to request. It's sad that Toyota and other manufacturers are not including trans fluid service in their maintenance schedule but opt to give a false narrative that lifetime fluid is lifetime....which is false.

Side bar on the speedometer, just because the speedometer states 140 MPH doesn't mean the car can reach those speeds.

CVTs used in hybrids are not the same as those used with ICE engines. All of the complaints thus far on this forum have been around the CVT used with the 3ZR-FAE 2.0L 4 cylinder engine. The FAE is as far as I know only used in North America with the C-HR. I don't know what CVT is used with the 1.2L turbo 4 cylinder you all have in the overseas market. So can't comment there. I know there is a C-HR forum that is mainly overseas focused. You should check out that forum for any reports of CVT issues with the 1.2L engine.
