Standard called out maintenance does not cover transmission fluid changes. That's a separate service you have to request. It's sad that Toyota and other manufacturers are not including trans fluid service in their maintenance schedule but opt to give a false narrative that lifetime fluid is lifetime....which is false.

Side bar on the speedometer, just because the speedometer states 140 MPH doesn't mean the car can reach those speeds.

Hi , wanted to ask those who have researched or posted if the transition problems reported are particularly on the hybrids or on the 1.2 petrol auto version affected also ?
CVTs used in hybrids are not the same as those used with ICE engines. All of the complaints thus far on this forum have been around the CVT used with the 3ZR-FAE 2.0L 4 cylinder engine. The FAE is as far as I know only used in North America with the C-HR. I don't know what CVT is used with the 1.2L turbo 4 cylinder you all have in the overseas market. So can't comment there. I know there is a C-HR forum that is mainly overseas focused. You should check out that forum for any reports of CVT issues with the 1.2L engine.

Thankyou for responding, will do that , good luck to you all with those troublesome boxes 😉
They're only troublesome if people neglect doing basic maintenance with their transmissions. I'm about to hit 155,000 miles (250,000 kms) with my factory original transmission. Difference is I've been doing routine/regular transmission flushes. CVTs as a whole are very sensitive with requiring regular transmission service.
