Well if the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback gets this -------With an all-new 168-hp 2.0-liter Dynamic Force Engine, chrome tailpipe diffuser and available 18-in. machined alloy wheels, Corolla Hatchback delivers----then it would be nice if the C-HR also gets the upgraded 2.0-liter as well.

Yeah Toyota definitely needs to update the powertrain in the CH-R. There is no way that the new Corolla should have better performance specs than other more sporty looking models in their lineup.

This!! ^
Toyota needs to get on this for all their models and make it a standard feature because connectivity is so important these days and the C-HR kind of lags behind in this aspect.

The absence of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on the CH-R demonstrates that Toyota wasn't entirely sure who they were designing the car for. These sorts of features should be standard on all cars, considering the laws regarding cell phone use while driving.

Will models already sold be able to receive an updated to make it apple carplay and android auto compatible or does it need special hardware for the upgrade. Would stink if the older model year cars like the C-HE can't get the systems.

I don't think that its been integrated into the stock head unit, and that's why we're seeing so many owners going with an aftermarket setup. I agree that its stupid that those who got in early are forced to drop in additional money for compatibility.
