Now usually, I see these things and keep scrolling but this one, for some reason, I stopped to read.

This female apparently has had quite the shocking experience with Toyota. But not in a dealership, it was online on facebook.

Long story short, we all know cookies and whatever and how it changes the ads that you see on web pages to suitable things you've been looking at. Now.. those advertisements don't know what you do outside of the surfing on the net.

The Toyota advertisement she seen was geared towards her actual activities in the outside world opposed to what she actively searches online.

That's kind of weird.

This example, she apparently partakes in Zumba throughout the week or whatever, and the Toyota ad she seen basically said "Loading your activity - identified Zumba" and then powered by AI.

Kinda creepy, no?

And this is why I rarely use Facebook, but I'm also impressed. They must be making a ton of ads in order to cover the huge range of activities people partake in on a daily basis; hiking, zumba, cycle fit, etc.

That is kind of messed up. Looking at it on their end, it's great. Really get personal. But too personal perhaps? They must have some way of getting that vast amount of information to figure out what you do so regularly even if you don't always post/search about it.
