Hi everyone, I found some old low profiles I have from a vehicle I no longer have that are 225/35/18s and was curious if these might fit my chr. They are already on rims but I’d like to put them on my rims that are already on my chr. Looking for any advise or thoughts before I waste my time trying both.

Here are two calculators you'll find useful for this exercise:

Using the first calculator for your stock tires of 225/50 R18, it gives a tire diameter of 26.9". The diameter of your proposed tires of 225/35 R18 is 24.2". That's almost a 3" difference in diameter which will also do an unintended drop in your ground clearance by about 1.5". That's pretty significant. While you can certainly do this, the second calculator shows what happens with your speedometer reading. For an indicated 65 MPH reading on your speedometer using the 225/35 tires, your actual speed is going to be 58.57 MPH. If you're ok with these resultant changes, I don't see any other problems. Well, there's going to be increased harshness with the stiffer side walls.
