Hey All just seeing if anyone could offer some insight. I'm looking to change the tires on my CHR (225/50/R18) to 255/55/R18 All Terrain Tires. I checked on willtheyfit.com and it says the new tires will be 27.75 mm higher and a diameter of 737.7mm vs 682.2mm (stock). Speedo loss would be -7.52%. Does this seem like it would be a good idea or do you think that this may cause other issues for my transmission and cv shafts? I dont want to swap tires if i dont have to every winter/spring, and having these off road tires would prevent that. Let me know what you guys think.

it is not acceptable unless you change to aftermarket rims, the width of the OEM rims is not enough. you need at least 8.5J to accomodate 255.
