Haven't personally experienced that on my '20 C-HR. Yet something similar did occur with my Camry. While parking at a local store. This may sound hard to believe but when braking I unknowingly stepped on both the brake & accelerator causing me to crash into the store wall. It freaked me out and at first I was certain the fault lied with the car. But truth be told, it was simply bad luck.
sudden acceleration
Did anybody have this experience with their toyota CH-R? I bought a toyota 2021 toyota CH-R last january. Today while parking my car on the car garage where i work it suddenly accelerated causing my car to crash in the wall..i was okay but i'm scared to drive it already..pls.let me know if anybody has this experience..thank you..

Frmdaleftcoast..how did you resolve the issue? did you file a complaint to the dealership? and did they have to replace your car? thank you ..
Well, there was also a recall - had it on my previous 2010 Rav4 - the floor mats were not secured adequately or something. The floor mat could move and may have got to the pedal?
Not sure how that can happen, but it did on some older Toyotas?

I feel that its more computer glitch rather than floor mat..did you've to change your car? or they fix it for you? This is interesting, I thought it was my imagination but I thought this happened to me it was not severe so was able to stop by breaking,did not do anything about it as has not happened again.I felt at least in my case, that the issue was more to do with my big feet, having on work boots and just having washed the car.
I also think that it was something to do with the accelerator itself as well. I remember the first one was the floor mats. Then another visit to the dealer for the gas pedal - something about shortening it?

Yep. This happened to me 4 hrs ago I was almost fully stopped when it suddenly took off but the strangest thing was i was still breaking at the time my breaks had nothing i was stood up almost i pressed that hard even on impact my foot was still firmly pressed my passenger seen this and reading your experience makes me feel better because it is like impossible but it happened. No crash sensors kicked in like normally there do. Mines 2020. Very strange to experience
