I am located in Southern California and I will soon be purchasing a ch-r and this will be the very first vehicle I buy that will be brand new so I am very curious as to how your transaction went... Did you pay sticker price or was the dealer willing to negotiate , what trim did you choose (xle or premium )? any added options (roof rack, hood film protection)? which color did you choose and would that still be your color choice at this time if not then which would be?

Hi,

Yes, I went with the sticker price in Canada.
Sand Black, XLE (No premium).
I like the solid black color, But I might go with silver and black roof which is not avaiable in my area now.

Good choice! Why don't people like a black top? As for me, it looks better than silver one, especially if you put black wheels on. Just imagine, fully black C-HR :surprise: (a pinch of tinting wouldn't hurt too)

I bought mine back in October and I'm young only 22 years old about to be 23. So when i went to the Toyota dealership no dealer took me seriously and didn't bother too attend me except for one guy later on after checking out a metallic grey CH-R XLE trim asked me if i was interested in buying it and told him that i would like to buy this car today he let me test drove it and walked through every single feature of the car and was just really nice guy. i ended up using majority of my savings i had since i was 17 and paid the car all in cash and drove away with it i got a lot of stares from most of the dealers who didn't bother to even talk to me or greet me. it was great day and i'm glad the guy who helped me ended up getting the sale

Great to see someone so young who’s worked hard and disciplined enough to save up the amount of money it takes to purchase a (Great)new car... Rule #1 to any salesperson should be never underestimate someone’s economic stability and finances due to age , appearance, etc...

Purchased ours a month ago. Purchased the XLE Premium. Have had nothing but problems with it. Never had such "Buyers Regret" in my life and I have owned about 20 vehicles in my lifetime, most of which were new purchases. This is second Toyota. Purchased a new RAV 4 Sport back in 2006 that we kept for 6 years before getting rid of it. It too was a piece of crap, but not nearly as bad as this CHR. Just got it back from the dealer today after they had it for a week, for the second time, this time replacing a $3000 part. Not bad when the dealership has had the vehicle just as often as we have since purchasing it!
The CHR is noisy period!!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE IN CANADA UNTIL TOYOTA GETS THEIR CRAP TOGETHER WITH IT!!!

Can you elaborate more about the problems with the chr? Or is there a thread about it already I can follow?

Premium XLE with every option purchased a few weeks ago for 23,000 sticker was 25,700. Great deal I think.
I think so, sadly I was at high 25.7k out the door.

Just picked up an '18 Ruby Flare Pearl C-HR XLE Premium in Florida. I got what I think is a real good deal. Toyota MSRP is $26,139 and the dealer added a $999 package including Clear door edge guards, Door cup guards, Window tint with lifetime warranty and lifetime car washes.

I paid:

$21,505.66
Plus sales tax $1319.87
Tag/Title $119.85

Total OTD: 22,945.38

Dealer let me pay $5000 on credit card(I will pay off when bill comes in) so I get 1.5% cash back and the balance I paid cash so I saved another $75 on the car.......I'm happy with the deal and even happier with the car!

I bought my in January, pearl white XLE for $21060 OTD. Try TrueCar.com before heading to the dealer. Originally they were not willing to negotiate, after I got competitive pricing from all dealers around, same people were willing to go $4500+ below msrp. I'm not a fan of push button start and blind spot monitoring so the premium options were not making dollar sense to me. The XLE I picked already had all the edge guards, trunk trim, carpets etc. I did instal OEM fog lights but that only costed $217 and install was a breeze. This also left me with extra 1.5K to upgrade the radio, the stock one is a total pos. After all the upgrades I'm still way ahead of the premium cost and now the car is on par with what 2018 vehicle should be. BTW they all come with roof racks so don't let them charge you extra $300 for one. If they sqable ask for invoice and you will see it there. Good luck.
