Hi all!
I just jump in and I have few questions.

do you know if there is any working OBD speed lock available online? The tool to be placed in OBD port that closes doors when you pass 10km/h?

Do you know any very good aftermarket working parking sensor (rear and front) that I can buy online?

thanks

well I am sure OBD speed lock exist for auris, rav and many other toyota models.
I don't know why toyota does not include this function but this is it.

About sensors, I have seen somewhere that toyota work with vodafone automotive / cobra (tbc) . euro/kit 100

the 5 best reach maximum 65$ , so what you think about?

Not sure if Vodafone Automotive supplies the parking sensors to Toyota even if they are a tier 1 supplier for the Japanese brand. But $65 seems too affordable for a parking sensor and all the electronics it comes with.

Hi guys,

do you have any other suggestions for alternative after market parking sensors?

Here Toyota asks 400eur front + 400eur rear for sensors not connected to the display as optional for style and active models. Only the lounge model get sensors already installed and connected. I think it's too much for a simple buzz.

I am actually considering ultrasonic Cobra/Vodafone automotive parking sensors 17mm . I am not sure they are the same used by toyota. 180pounds front+rear

or

electromagnetic Proxel eps dual 3.0 , no drill. 150 eur front+rear

My doubts:
the speaker/buzzer, I don't like an extra speaker. How you get the buzz noise with original toyota sensors?
the button for front sensor. I don't like an extra button, how you activate standard front toyota sensors?
Possible problems with Toyota warranty

Many thanks

Here's the bit about voiding the Toyota warranty from the Australian Toyota site. Not sure where you're from and if this is a global clause:

Toyota Warranty will continue to apply to original components of the vehicle providing they have not been altered from the manufacturer's specification or impacted by the modifications. Also, the Toyota Warranty will continue to apply if your vehicle is fitted with Toyota Genuine Parts and Accessories. However, any damage resulting from non-genuine modifications will not be covered.
Can't really help you with the sensors as I've never installed something like that and it's too complicated for me.

yes this is the goal.

and it's open again while power is off or after a crash .

there is also a video.
I suppose it works also on european C-HR but it's quite expensive.

I ordered another one here:
OBD2 CANBUS Speed Lock Device for Toyota

which is quite cheap and they say it works on C-HR, but the order will take 1 month.

Let's wait I will keep you updated.

Meanwhile if someone like to test the japanese item , please let us know

I assume if it works in one C-HR, no matter which country it's sold in, the device would work in every other car of the same model too. The rakuten one has three reviews and they all seem positive with no problems so far.

Let us know on how that canbus one works once you receive it. Looks simple enough to install, just plug and play.

Hi Lawson-Chan
How did the obd Auto locker perform, does it work as described

I'am very interested in buying this device and would appreciate any feedback from those who have installed it

I have the 1.2l Turbo 2WD variant, and as it states on Rakitan share style web site this device Is only suitable for Hybrid model, but it looks like in the reviews section someone has installed in a gasoline model with no problem

If you could let us know, it would be great

Cheers
