Some here would disagree with JD Power on this. Especially those that have been complaining about trans issues. So far, my car has been reliable. Only things I've done on the car is oil changes both engine and trans, a new set of tires, and a new battery. Car is approaching 102,000 miles after 4 years of ownership.

One thing I want to comment on about the list. How can JD Power call the BMW 3/4 series "compact" cars. They're far from being compact.

I'm certain those with mechanical issues are not going to find much solace in this rating. Makes sense. That being said, they're rating these cars on least number of issues, not on they have no issues.

Yeah, I have no idea how JD Power internally structures their classifications. Is it possible the BMW 3/4 series straddles two separate classes and therefor hard to place?

I mean the C-HR itself is one of those, "uh, what is this?" kind of vehicles. I literally get asked this question from people that never have seen one before. In fact, I kid you not I was just asked this today by a drive instructor when I took my kid to get registered for driving school. "What is this?" Maybe I should just tell people it's a BMW 3/4 series.

I believe this rating is for the 2020 C-HR and not those from previous years with the known trans issue.
