Aloha everyone, when i pulled my front drivers seat out for my amp install, i only had a t45 bit and it was too small so found out its a t50 (i believe) for seat mount bolts.
so got a t50 and was able to remove them all. now a few weeks later i got some nice new seat covers, so went to remove seats again, and one rear mount bolt just wont come out. apprently i stripped it ever so slightly with the smaller bit. i did grease them lighty before re-installing last time, but just cant get it to turn, and now after many attempts, even the t50 bit is not grabbing.
any ideas ? i tried to wrap a piece of electrical tape around bit to fill gaps, but it didnt work. ive seen vids in past on youtube sa=ying to put a rubber band into head then try the bit, but couldnt find any rubber bands. will look around more today and can hopefully find one, but does any one have any tips or tricks for removing a stripped bolt ? if rubber band doesnt work, was thinkiong of trying my left hand bits, but know once i start that, i'll have to drill it all the way out, which i'd like to avoid if possible,as i don't want to chance hitting the threads. thanks for the ideas...
