Hello, I just got mine last Thursday. Pretty pleased with the purchase so far. It seems like there's only a handful of these in Vancouver! Maybe 5, and one or two of them are manager's cars? Apparently Toyota issued a stop order for them recently so you can't purchase them in the short term.

Welcome, congrats for your new ride. I agree with you, the c-hr is not common in BC.:grin2::grin2:
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new car!

I'm not sure how many C-HRs we have here in Toronto, but it's definitely more than 5 :)
If you don't mind mentioning, how much did you pay out the door?

I hope you're ready for all the mess winter brings to white paint :D
Not as bad as what you'd see on black paint in the winter.
Any idea what the stop sale order was issued for? They usually don't do that unless it's for a very good reason.
Hello, sorry for not replying for awhile but...

I got the Premium package with a roof rack and fog lights. After everything was said and done it was just under $30k.

As for the stop sale, it was probably just the firmware update? The salesman seemed to think they would be restarting sales after a month or something. (But then we'd still have to wait 3 months here in Canada since they manufacture in Turkey.)

As for all the salt from the last few weeks, it's been not too bad. I might have obsessively hosed it down a bit though...
Hi guys looking for some advice - I have just purchased the 2017 Chr- mine came fully loaded all body kits and the 18" rims 225 50 18 - however it's really low for the wife and I am certain she will destroy it .... can anyone say it this car will fit 225 55 18 with out touching the front fender?

Hello. Im in vancouver also. The stop selling order was for a electrical issue with the electric parking brake. Just a firmware update to fix , i got a magnetic grey just purchased in dec.
So far (since first released in May)

Having pre-ordered ours, we picked it up the first day of release locally. I have numerous vehicles and the CHR is currently sitting in the garage still Spring at just over 6000 km's. I have followed the Navigation threads with some interest but have decided ours will stay as is for the time being. I will try and get around to posting how I have mounted a Garmin GPS. I had to modify the USB plug to enable charging only otherwise the infotainment unit would try to sync all the time. I have a lift in my garage and will be doing my own maintenance.

Looking forward to seeing how you mounted the Garmin GPS.

Mounting/locating GPS etc...

Sorry for being off for so long, C-HR is off the road for a couple of months while I drive winter wheels.

I removed two of the internal contacts from a USB cord to enable charging but disable the sync, otherwise it attempts to sync with Car system. My cell phone easily attaches to a vent with one of those common magnetic vent mounts but I prefer using the auto power up GPS and it can easily be seen without taking up much storage. The GPS mount just slips under the ledge of the little compartment although some might want to secure it a little firmer. I put a little bit of velcro on upper side of mount and just under ledge of compartment which makes it so you can't see it if the GPS is taken to another vehicle. Powers on and off with ignition.

cheers

It's certainly out of the way with where the GPS is mounted, but how hard is it to see while you're driving compared to the usual dash location?
I know many like the GPS to be up higher but usually this means an ugly or temporary mount. It is also visible and inviting for thieves. With it low it is much less noticeable from outside and I leave it like a permanent install and as I said it turns on and off with the ignition each time unless I unplug it. All of them have voice turn by turn anyway and for me its an easy glance. No Navigation was certainly a drawback when considering various competitors cars but the C-HR came out on top in too many other areas to count it out.
