Has anyone been able to get their texts and/or email to display on the radio?

Toyota Canada informed me that it is iPhone that doesn't permit to display of messages. When I had my android phone before buying my iPhone, the text messages worked no problem.

I guess at this point its a matter of us waiting for an update so on that note try to get yourself on a contact list if there is one. That's really the only solution I can think of right now.

I just got my C-HR (USA model) 1-1/2 weeks ago and am able to read / receive texts from my iPhone on the car screen. I don't think emails display on the car.

We have the touch&go satnav and it can display sms-text messages.. even the system can speak them word by word for you.

I have a Samsung Note 4 Android and I can see and hear the text message through the vehicles Radio/Display. Now the thing I noticed is that my email personal email will show up as an option to see 50% of the time and I have not investigated yet to to see if its something that I am doing or just a glitch, but I can see them sometimes.

I haven't been able to get it to display my emails at all (pixel xl), I'm not too concerned cause I think that would be incredibly annoying lol. Texts seem to work fine however...

on the iphone you have to go to your Bluetooth settings on the phone click the i icon next to your CHR and there should be "show notification" check that on and after that give it a couple of seconds and the messaging should start working

my iPhone works fine with the head unit i can read messages and reply to them make calls etc no problems here

Thank you for this info! I just figured iPhones didn’t allow text messages to work with the CH-R stereo/interface.

I've got an iPhone X and I can read or listen to spoken language on the head unit with texts. I don't need the email function though.
