Has anyone found any type of hood protection...like a bug deflector or the like?
I think some people wax their clear coat so it becomes even easier to keep clean and clean when the time comes. Basically you want to treat it very much like paint. Those deflectors generally aren't the best looking, but you can always wrap the hood in a protective film like Xpel so suicidal bugs are easier to clean off and you won't be afraid to use a bit more elbow grease.
We applied sealant, so even less maintenance than wax (reapply ever few months instead of few weeks)I think some people wax their clear coat so it becomes even easier to keep clean and clean when the time comes. Basically you want to treat it very much like paint.
What products do you use?We applied sealant, so even less maintenance than wax (reapply ever few months instead of few weeks)
Good to know because now you have even easier washes to do. Just have to make sure what you use to wash won't alter the sealant. I heard some of those automated car washes at gas stations could do a number to these paint protectors. We applied sealant, so even less maintenance than wax (reapply ever few months instead of few weeks)
