Euro owners: blind spot mirror in side view mirror.

Greetings,

I noticed Japan models come with blind spot mirrors for the side view mirrors for RHD.

For european owners, do any countries have blind spot mirrors in the side view mirrors for LHD?

Thank you

The RHD blind spot mirror from japan will not help the driver if installed in a LHD car. Just wondering if any European owners have them in a LHD car purchased in Europe.
It won't fit the EU or North America version. The side view mirrors are same as Prius IV in Japan; however, the one in Europe and North America is same as Corolla, Camry, and Avalon.

Wow? How do you know that? Do you work for Toyota? C-HR in different countries have different shaped side view mirrors?

Thank you!

Nah..:wink2::wink2: just noticed that accidentally. There're lots of differences between North America and EU version. Toyota had redesigned the front bumper, engine, lights, airbags, and Isofix...even the rear bumper reinforcement is different. So, we have to pay more attention to the accessories we purchase on eBay or Amazon.

Yes, the top versions in EU have the BSM and RTCA (rear cross traffic alert) but dont have the bulb under the mirror as in the pictures above.
I would love to find a aftermarket, adhesive blind spot mirror for my NA C-hr. Please let me know if anyone finds one!

That presumes you got BSM. I didn't. I've almost had 6 accidents in a month. That car has the worst blind spots of anything I've ever experienced. You can't see in the mirrors and you can't see by turning your head. I can't believe that Toyota didn't include BSM in the base model give how truly bad the blind spots are. I fully expect to have wrecked that car before the loan is paid off.

Me too. I've been searching and I can't find anything that really works for / with the C-HR.
Blind Spot Mirrors designed for C-HR

Have you, or anyone else been able to find anything that works well and is hopefully stylish?

I haven't. I can't believe Toyota doesn't offer one, even as an add-on.

The North American C-HR has the worst blind spots of any car I've ever driven. You can't see in the mirrors and you can't see by turning your head because of the rear design of the car.

It is unconscionable to me that Toyota didn't include BSM as a standard feature due to their horrible "I can't see out" design.

Sadly I didn't pay for the BSM upgrade and now I fear the car won't make it to the term of the loan if I don't do something about it. I've already had a number of close calls (about 6) and I've only had the car for about a month.

Thanks for your feedback..

Your options are kind of limited in terms of doing something aftermarket. I think the cheapest and most simple option will be to install a wide angle blind spot mirror into the corner of your existing mirrors. It's not exactly "stylish" but it will help you in preventing future close calls.

I made my own. I do not like the warning system, all that does os tell me something is there. I prefer to know what and where the object is.

Wow! Zbyra! AWESOME! I've been wrestling with this issue since I recd my car months ago! Those look perfect... How do you make your own mirrors?! I'd love to make a set (or better still... I pay you to make them for me lol)!

I knew someone else would come to the same conclusion aha. Love that they follow the shape of the existing mirrors, looks way better than the aftermarket options.

Very nice.. Any tips on how we can "Make" our own. TIA
Over here in The Netherlands a BSM indicator is present on both sidemirrors. By default on premium models.
