Car sidelined the wife this morning. Took ToyotaCare 6.5 hours to get wife & car to dealership.
Technician claims that they don't know what to do since the vehicle is so new.
Advocate asked wife to pick vehicle back up and drive it until it triggers the alarm again, REALLY?!?!?

I suppose that's the other side of the coin for all these high tech cars. Everything is computerized and technicians cant do much without an active code. Some people opt to buy their own scanner so they can keep track of whatever codes come and go.

Any recommendation on that scanner?

Thats. A known recall. The dealer should have contacted you and fixed it before you had the issue. My dealer wouldnt release my car till the upgrade was done.
