EPB Malfunction message

Hi. We just purchased 2018 C-HR Premium and getting the message display "EPB Malfunction, Visit your dealer". Have done that and the dealer has no fix for it. Told that Toyota Canada is "looking into this" and directed the dealership not to do anything until they can determine a fix. When the EPB malfunctions, this also knocks out the cruise control system and it will not work also. If you engage the cruise control before the EPB malfunction message appears, it works fine. However the cruise control will not work if the EPB message had come on and you attempt to engage the cruise control. Less than 500km on this vehicle. We love it but are nervous of there being some computer control issues or something else going on.
Is anyone else having this same message appear regarding the EPB malfunction?
