Well, I've just spent the better part of an hour just removing the lower rear cushion. The front of the seat DOES NOT just pull straight up as easily as they make it sound. I used to own a body shop and I have never seen a rear seat this damn hard to remove. And to have sacrificial parts involved is absolutely stupid.
Before you start this, go buy a pair of the REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (the part you are told to remove in Step 8.
Why? Because there is no way to release the seat from them without them breaking. It took an unreal amount of pulling to finally get the right one to release and the two white plastic pieces of the hoof broke when it did. After that, I just took a small pry bar with a chisel-type tip and chopped the one on the left side out.
