Just found this bit of interesting news online and I'm not sure how legitimate it is, but China may be getting the C-HR in two forms. This is because Toyota has two local partners; FAW-Toyota's version will remain largely unchanged and Guangzhou-Toyota could debut its own version with a revised design and name.

This was from Car News China and I'm interested to see what they could do to an already quirky vehicle like the C-HR.

This revised version will probably be cheaper because if there's any way they can make it viable its to not only make this for China but also surrounding markets. It always plays out like that, i'll be surprised if this isn't another case of that.

The C-HR is already so affordable, any more reduction in price and Toyota would be selling cheap plastic on frame with barely any features! :surprise:
I don't think the Japanese automaker will let their brand sink that low. We may just see a few extra aero parts, nothing too drastic.

Never seen them do it before and they never really had a reason to but with how much the segment is heating up this time around and how much they want to expand, special trims are in order. Just don't hope on it happening, All you can hope for is a TRD trim.

Think the China models will be getting a performance boost too or will it just be for aesthetics?
I highly doubt there will be any sort of performance upgrades.

Although I could imagine some "special edition" with more standard equipment than the normal ones.
Toyota has a lower market share in China, and it's wouldn't be weird to throw some extra stuff in it, to make it more attractive to the Chinese market, who loves luxury in their cars.
