Hi there...

After a lot of searching and googling i am now using Google maps with my Toyota touch 2 system.

All you need is

a. A Samsung Galaxy 3 smartphone with android ver 4.3
b. Data cable
c. DriveLink apk Specific version 1.028

And voila it works perfect.

DriveLink is property of Samsung.

I thing maybe Galaxy Note2 works but i did not test it.

Yes if you have data you can see live traffic BUT without data you can use off line maps !!!

Being that old of a device don't be surprised if it doesn't work and this might just be a good excuse to upgrade to a newer phone. Hopefully though it works and buys you time till the new Note 8 launches.

Android version 4.3 was a very long time ago. I would highly doubt such old software is going to work with this.. Isn't Android version 7.0 out now or something ?!

Right now it's at version 7.0 – 7.1.1 which is Android Nouget. Anything 4 has been discontinued already so everyone else will need to find an alternative method of using google maps with the infotainment system.

I bought a used Galaxy S3 just for this reason. 80€
