Good luck trying to get any JDM body kit since you'll have to do a full bumper replacement to a JDM one just so you can fit say a TRD, Modellista, Rowan, etc.. Since the USDM bumper is different from the Japanese one. I am going that route and I was told it would cost around almost $4K to get a bumper stateside. Also, you'll have to make sure they carry it in your color which shouldn't be a problem.

$4K will be way too much...
For 250-300 US$ there are already used ones for sale at eBay UK. With (expensive!) shipping to USA it can run up to max a 1000 i think.
I remember talking to autofashionELROY at his shop a few weeks back and that's how much they say said cost to ship a full front bumper directly from Japan or maybe I must have misheard him.

You still need to replace the entire front bumper to a JDM one to even fit on your car.

Yeah as indicated above its a shame that most kits will require a whole new front end. I think most drivers should be satisfied with some aftermarket lips/skirts. I really like the red pinstriping and I think it looks great on that black CH-R. Hopefully we see some more local options come to market, because shipping ruins any reasonable prices you may find internationally.

I got parts with reasonable shipping prices from JDMYamato in Japan. They sell new and used JDM parts, accept paypal and ship worldwide.
Their website does not work here but you can find them also on Facebook.

We're any of the parts you ordered large pieces such as aftermarket body pieces though? Because a lot of shipping costs depend on the size/weight of the items. I think you'll be hard pressed to find reasonable rates for such things from Japan. Hopefully we get some knock off iterations that become available locally in the upcoming months. Would love to see what new looks can be had with some mods.

My front trim was biggest part. But to know sure you can send them email or message with wanted parts and they will quote you.
The genuine Toyota or TRD parts from Japan are not cheap.. shipping and customs make the total expensive. But its really good quality.
You cant compare them with any aftermarket fiberglass parts that mostly need some work before painting and mounting.

Look up Evasive Motorsports in CA on internet. They can get body kits and shipping for a very reasonable price. Going to order from them everything except front spoiler. Replacing the front bumper makes it cost prohibitive for me.

Cool, I'll give them a try. I know they are very popular within the 86/FRS/BRZ Community. What kit are you going to order? Keep us posted. I'm interested.

Looking to get the Rowen kit. I already have prices from Tony Kwan? at Evasive for the Artisan and Kuhl body kits.
Thr Kuhl kit works on the USDM front bumper? Also how much did they quote you for it. The Kuhl kit looks nice, but I thought you need a JDM bumper regardless. That looks like a grille replacement.

Also, does anyone have any information about Japanese tuner companies considering making kits for the USDM bumper? Still disappointed that Toyota USA dropped the ball on having this ugly bumper instead of keeping it the same worldwide.

All kits as far as I know need bumper replacement. I'm still getting prices for Nobelesse and TRD kits. When I get the prices I will post. Spoke with 2 suppliers and it could take 4 mos for kit delivery.

I emailed Kuhl USA about their kit and yes it only works for JDM but there is a possibility of USDM kit in the works. I replied to them saying I would be interested as a test fitter when the time comes.

4 months for a kit? I think at that point you're better off waiting to see what kind of local options come to market. It sucks that all these kits are JDM specific, that's the drawback of launching region specific models.
