I understand why they're phasing them out, but I still want one. I might go to an audio shop and have an in-dash CD player installed.

Phasing them out.. Maybe, but high end radio manufactures are still making top of the line radios with cd/dvd included (just a little more expensive than the non drive counterpart). I myself still own plenty of audio cd's but have also converted them to FLAC and added them to my server. I am looking into maybe getting the new Kenwood DDX9905S and only cause if the HD 720p Screen. But if I didn't want an HD screen and NO CD/DVD you can also go with Kenwood DMX905S save some bucks still get "Wifi Android Auto" plus most new radios also play the "FLAC" audio format.

Same, and before heading out on a trip next week I stuck a multi 12v to the side of the bin with Velcro and plugged in a little rechargeable light with the USB built in.

Looks great, don't have that here in USA.. I like to get the part number and cross ref it with the US Toyota dealers here.

Here you can find most European Genuine C-HR parts on a UK website.
Prices are in GBP and Toyota article number is with it.

Search Results - Burrows Car Parts

Funny is that parts are produced worldwide.. i got some genuine parts that were made in Thailand, Australia and Poland

I guess it has to do with who they are contracting out the manufacturing out to and where those companies are located, along with how competitive they are. More than what most people expect are outsourced.

I must have missed this, but yes holding down the MODE button will mute the radio or pause the playback of USB. I accidentally found this out by thinking I was hitting the up volume but held down the Mode button instead.

Is it just me or are car washes unable to adequately clean the front bumper indent where the small vents sit in? I end up needing to manually wipe that part after a wash... Not a problem, just an annoyance over time.
