Steering wheel's sound while using signals!
Hi guys. The problem with my steering wheel is that whenever the signal is on and I try to turn the wheel, at specific angles I hear a clicking sound. I could hear 3 of them on each side to the end of twirl.
I brought the cat to Sevice Center and they said that it's a normal sound and every other car has the Same! feature! But the sound was not there when I bought it in the first place. And my previous Corolla didn't have the clicking sound!
Still, it's annoying to hear these clicking sounds while you're driving a new car!
Does any of you have the same experience? Any fix for this?
It should be there... It's the switch that touches the notch that will put the switch back to it's neutral position when steering back. It has always been there; i guess you didn't notice it beforehand (radio on?).
My 2 cents, and it may be completely unrelated, but I removed the bottom shroud on my steering wheel column to install my remote start. Afterwards, I began hearing an unusually noise when turning the wheel. It is still there and I suspect that I did not properly seat the cover when I reinstalled it. It is not a "clicking" noise, but more of a rubbing sound. Maybe yours wasn't properly installed at the factory?
