I just picked up my C-HR. I paired my iPhone and can receive text. When I respond yes that I want to respond and pick one of the premade text messages I get a notice there was a problem with sending the text. My dealer told me the C-HR can not send text messages. Really, is this true?
I'll try sending a response via my connected android tomorrow. I do get my notifications but I've never chosen to respond with the "canned" responses that are available. Really wish I could just recite the message and have it dictated for me. That's one of the many reasons why I'm leaning towards android auto...
If you really want to have compatibility between your phone and the CH-R, you're going to have to look into an aftermarket infotainment system. The lack of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay really limits the amount of features the CH-R is capable of.
Toyota is still telling me that the C-HR will only receive a text message and that even though it gives you the option to send a "canned" response the C-HR is not capable of doing so. I have tried talking to three different dealerships and get basically the same answer.
