Can someone who has a painted roof C-HR post pics of what it looks like with the doors and hatch open.
I'm wanting to see how they finished out the roof rail and inside the hatch area.
I'm seriously considering painting mine since they quoted me $450 to wrap the roof not including the spoiler.
I work in a collision center, so it'll actually cost me less to paint than wrap anyway.
Sorry I might have misunderstood the OP as I did not have to get it painted. This color scheme was an option available by the dealer for I guess around $700 CDN. So i opted for it at the time of purchase. I really wanted the black roof but for 2018 they only had white with black and I saw that white C-HR in winter. Boy did that look dirty
Just putting this out there. If you're looking to make a color change to your roof, I'd go the wrap route. It's reversible in case you're not looking to drive the wheels off the car and it won't affect resale. Someone with a paint depth gauge doing an assessment on your car for sale/trade is going to see that the roof was repainted. It may affect the offering price but it may not. You'll end up having to take that chance. Plus painting the roof is going to require decent prep to make sure there are no edges/paint lines near any trim.
I was actually considering wrapping until I got a quote for what I felt was a ridiculous price that didn't include the spoiler or antenna. The guy told me he couldn't do the spoiler and guarantee it because of how many pieces it would take to cover it due to the three cut-outs. He said I'd have to have that part painted. That's when I told him if I'm going to have to paint any of it, I'll paint it all.
No, thank you. I have the pics I need. But I'm looking at other cars again now. There's no desire to throw money into anything that won't increase the value now.
