Subwoofer Installation (JL MicroSub+ Model: ACP112LG-TW1)

Finally Installed my Subwofer ( JL Audio ACP112LG-TW1 ). Took me about 5 hours as this was my first install.
There is access via a grommet from the engine bay. It fit the 8 GA wire easily, but I am not sure if it can fit a 4 GA.
Not much to say about it, pictures show pretty much all you need to know. Hope this helps
Parts I used where:

Panel Removal Tools
Tesa Tape
1/4" Braided Sleeve
Ferrules
Ferrule Crimper
8-gauge amplifier power wiring kit
T-SPEC V8 Mini-ANL Fuses (30A Fuse)
JL Audio ACP112LG-TW1
RCA Cables

The 1/4 ABS Panel I got it from ebay..

Thanks for the guide! Looks great dude, and I bet it sounds even better. You plan on mounting it anywhere, or do you want it to be removable if need be?

That Sucker is so heavy that it won't move from there (plus it fits like a glove)
The JL Sub Connectors are designed to be quick-disconnect , meaning that the [Positive + Ground + Remote Turn on] are all attached to a small "harness" that you can click on and off the sub to allow for easy removal incase I need the space for something unexpected.

So yes it will stay like it is. Sometimes a trip to home depot will require me to leave the sub at home .

It sound loud, I did not think a small "ported" box like this 12" MicroSub can sound so loud.
Now next will be the stock speakers.. but I'll have to wait till I recover in funds.

Perhaps anyone has a suggestions for door speakers? I am NOT planning on adding a AMP for the door speakers. The Kenwood DDX9905S Head Unit puts out enough for my needs..

are you going to amplify the door/dash speakers?

are you getting any kind of engine noise from the sub? when you press the gas when driving, do you hear a loud pitches whine?

the install looks great!

I didn't see one, but can you attach a picture of that grommet with the power wire through it? i'm curious to see what it looks like now with the power wire inside of it.

that's great! No engine noise means not ground loops. that's good news.

I'm thinking about putting my amp under my seat, the sound processor under the passenger seat, then the subs in the back. I need to measure this weekend to see if i can actually fit the amp. The amp i selected is like 15" x 9" so we'll see!

I'm looking forward to see that grommet picture!

This was the best I could do, not much room to get camera in that area (plus Engine was hot). Hope it helps
