Smile New Radio

Hey all! I just replaced my radio. I think I'm going to like it.

Nice.. What brand & model of steering wheel controller did you use to retain the use of the buttons from the steering wheel?

2018 C-HR "RedFox" XLE Premium.

Itís a pioneer 2330 nex model. I used a axxess aswc-1 for steering wheel controls but to keep from splicing wires I bought the plug and play Metra ax-toy28swc to work with the axxess aswc-1. Everything works on the steering wheel like it should. This thing is awesome. I bought everything on Crutchfield.com

No antenna needed. The one in the phone works just fine. Everything works. No issues.

Looks great man, thanks for sharing where you got the parts from. I think this is the most common mod to date on here, which really reinforces how much Toyota dropped the ball with the stock set up.

yes their stock head unit is made by pioneer. You’de think they would have put more thought into this system.

How would I go about installing this? Should I go to a mechanic? Or you could do it on your own??
