Cool Footwell lights installation

To the one who is boring on the weekend, here's something cheap and EASY to DIY for you.

Here is the list of tools:
1.Screw Driver
2.2X LED T10 lights.
3.6meters wire
4.insulation tape
5.some foam
6.zip ties
7.10mm wrench

I. Remove the panel in the photo 1

II. Take around 2X100cm wires, and connect them to the positive and negative of the LED (Photo 2)

III. Find the positive power source. I used the third pin(Blue) of the Auto High Beam switch (Photo 3 and 4)

IV. Connect the negative wire to photo 5.

V. Put the LED into the reserved hole. (Photo 6) And use the insulation tape to cover the Upper side to prevent the light from leaking.

Then put everything back on (passenger side is pretty much the same, only you might need a longer wire to run the positive wire to the driver side and plug it into the same power source), and you are good to go...!!!

Thanks, guys! I used two regular T10 LED bulbs, here is the link:https://www.amazon.com/AMAZENAR-30-P...s=t10+led+bulb

Thanks for sharing your tutorial! I've always been thinking about installing interior lights, but guides that I've found didn't look as easy as yours. Going to try it next week, prepare for stupid questions

I see some open wires, did you have to strip some of the car wires?

Not a bad feature to have. I was thinking about doing this along with having an LED under the side view mirrors as puddle lights so we can better see whats on the ground before stepping in. I have seen that some higher end cars have that as a standard feature these days.

The C-HR Premium comes with puddle lights, though I find them pretty much useless.

Yeah, they're definitely useless, but still add some extra charm to C-HR. Unfortunately, my C-HR isn't Premium, so I didn't see them in person, however, from this video it seems like the lights are too dim.
