Power within windshield camera shroud?

I'm considering putting a dash cam immediately below the shroud housing the camera on the windshield (where the rear view mirror is attached). Does anyone know if there is a power source that I could tap into within that shroud?

Darn. I can't remember. took that shroud off to facilitate in hiding the wires that power my dash camera and radar detector. But I powered them from the fuse box and hid the cables along the door weather seal, the left side pillar, and the headliner.

You can in theory tap power from the mirror harness itself, provided your camera is rated for 12v. My friend did this on his Camaro, but fried his camera because it was rated at 5v and he did not know this.
