Toyota C-HR UK Prices Released

Toyota’s funky new mid-size crossover will go on sale next year in the UK starting at £20,995.

First unveiled as a concept in 2014 and then having the curtains pulled on it at the Geneva motor show in March this year, the C-HR is set to take on the likes of the Nissan Qashqai, Skoda Yeti and Renault Kadjar.

Autocar thinks the production model features an appealing design with angular lines and emphasized wheel arches. Giving it a wider looks is a combination of long headlight clusters and a low body stance similar to a coupe’s. One feature of note are the rear door handles that are integrated into the C-pillar and flows into the rear spoiler.

Potential UK buyers can choose from two powertrain options; a 120bhp 1.8 litre hybrid or a 114bhp 1.2-litre turbo engine. The petrol engine is paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission and the CVT option can come in either front-wheel or four-wheel drive. There will also be a 2.0-litre CVT option, but that won’t be available in the UK.

There are three trim choices to choose from; Icon, Excel and Dynamic. No matter which one you choose, the base model C-HR, which starts at £20,995 for the manual 1.2T to £23,595 for the hybrid, will come with autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam, dual-zone climate control, 17in alloy wheels, Touch 2 infotainment system and a reversing camera.

One step up is the Excel version which can go from £23,995 to £26,495 and for the additional cost, buyers will be getting part leather, heated front seats, parking sensors, 18″ alloys, privacy glass, and safety features like Blind Spot Monitor and Lane Change Assist,

The top Dynamic trim will go be priced from £25,495 to £27,995 and it’ll add on a set of 18″ alloy wheels, bespoke upholstery, privacy glass and LED headlights.

Orders for the new C-HR are now being taken instead of the model’s official sales launch in January of next year.

The Excel trim is a pretty good price for everything you're getting and I don't really see a need to go one more trim up as the benefits do not outweigh the cost. For the middle trim, we're getting additional safety features and heated seats!

You get more than what's listed in the top Dynamic trim than what's listed up there..

18″ black machined-face alloy wheels (5-double-spoke)
Bi-tone Black Roof
LED headlights
Front LED fog lights
Rear LED lights

Starting to think about what other trims they'll have come out in the future and something tailored a bit for off-road use seems to be possible. Maybe a TRD CH-R that has some things trickle down from the TRD Tacoma? But at the same time they could go the complete opposite way and have a sporty TRD CH-R.

Not surprised Japan is getting all the cool toys. Maybe that's just a rendering from an aftermarket company? Can't imagine that coming out from the factory.

Well it does say TRD so odds are that is from TRD. But for all we know that could be speculative or some one off model as a parts showcase. So from that we might see a portion of its TRD parts come to market... i could be wrong. Or maybe it will be Toyotas response to a Nismo Juke.

For those of you interested, the UK build page is up but there aren't many options.

There's not a lot of options if you choose the top trim, but there's plenty of features to add if you go fir the lowest trim like tech packs, parking packs, etc.

The tow pack comes with a tow hitch and 7+ Type electrics. Does that mean I can't hook up an aftermarket hitch and forgo the towing pack?
