Scion iR ôseats four or more passengers"

Recent trademark filing reports seating capacity at four or more passengers:

Quote:
ôseats four or more passengers and is lawful for use on U.S., Puerto Rican, or Canadian interstate highways.ö

Was kind of expecting it to seat 4 people and maybe 3 in the back seats. Now wondering if it'll be a 2 door car or a 4 door for the rear passengers to exit and enter easily.

Probably a 4 door 4 seater car. Scion already has the C-HR for a future 2 door car so why not come out with a 4 door city driver?

If the Scion iR is the same as the C-HR then we could be seeing 2 doors for the production model.

with where the B pillar is on the C-HR I didn't think it would be able to seat 4 people, but that's just the concept.

There doesn't seem to be enough space behind front door for even a small suicide door.

No doubt, right where that door ends on the C-Pillar it starts to go up into the cargo area... not going to work.

It might however work like a traditional coupe where the front seats have to be moved forward for rear passengers to get in.

That is such a pain to do every time someone needs to get in or out. Great as a deterrent for giving more than 1 person a ride but when necessary...

I think Scion is good with keeping to the Concept model's proportion, just everything else will most likely be changed and toned down a lot if the iA's concept and production models are anything to go by.

From the looks of the spied photos, the iR will have four doors with those four seats.
